Cowhorn Trails is very rich in family history. The McGee family moved on the original acreage in the 1800’s and has come full circle several generations later with the great grandchild and great great grandchildren, now Wade’s, moving into their home within yards of the original McGee home place. Each generation has added to the history and acreage, even giving it the name Cowhorn. In the 1970’s Buddy and Mildred began setting up Cowhorn as a Tree Farm while cattle roamed. By the eighties, as the tree farm grew, wildlife was a consideration for future generations. As a natural flow from trees to wildlife the next addition was recreation for all of us. In 2004, as an avid trail rider Evelyn convinced the family that a trail ride would add to the use of our land and that many could enjoy. Today we strive to create a family fun environment that all ages can enjoy from horse and wagon riders to nature lover. The McGee-Wade family cordially invites you to enjoy and experience the beautiful wildlife and foliage of Cowhorn Trails.
We work very hard to make the Cowhorn Trail's Ride a fun experience for all weather you are a horse rider or not. We would like to be a biannual family event that all look forward to and can afford. In our efforts to achieve this we would like positive feedback or constructive criticism. |
